I felt my stomach churning and tears just rolled down as I watched this clip. It is really a very good show.

Oh my goodness! Hyun Bin's acting again I must say this...is simply superb. When Bora told him that she had met his brother's friend, his shocked expression was so natural.
After watching 4 of Hyun Bin's show... Millionaire's First Love, My Lovely Samsoon, Ireland and now Snow Queen, my only conclusion is that Hyun Bin has the looks and the acting skills. To me, he is now number 1 in acting.

Ireland
I must say that other than Hyun Bin, this show is simply lousy.
The first two episode were really good. It was well-planned and shot. The storyline was captivating. However, beyond episode 10, it became really draggy. The ending was really lame. I am regretting spending that money. I should have saved it up.
A few things I like about the show:
1. In episode 1, Hyun Bin appeared as a cool but warm-hearted bodyguard. He was gentle and of course handsome.
2. In episode 2, Hyun Bin fell in love with the girl and whatever he did was really so charming.
I have just repeated the show for these two episode. Yet to go to number 3. There were some comical parts in the show. However, they were rare.
The storyline:
1. Gal called Qiong Er was adopted by this Irish couple. She came back to Korea because her Irish parents and brother were killed. She witnessed the killing and denied knowing them in front of the killers to save her own life. She bore the guilt and was mentally sick and hospitalised for a year. She came back to Korea to find peace.
2. Qiong Er met Jiang Guo (Hyun Bin) in the plane. Hence, started their romance. Hyun Bin pitied her mental condition and decided to protect her.
3. Qiong Er and Jiang Guo got married.
4. Love triangle started after Qiong Er met Caifu. Jiang Guo was hurt by it but maintained that Qiong Er was only lost for the moment. He treasured and honored marriage. Basically, he was charming throughout the show.
5. The show dragged on and on between Qiong Er, Caifu and Jiang Guo. Then came that Caifu could be Qiong Er's brother. However, DNA test proved otherwise. Hence, their love triangle went on and on.
6. Caifu was cohabiting with another gal who was a porn star. However, later left her. That gal then fell in love with Jiang Guo because he was protecting her as a bodyguard.
7. While protecting that gal, Jiang Guo fell in love with her without realising. He was still persistent in keeping his marriage. To him, Qiong Er was his only love.
8. The show dragged on and on. Qiong Er got pregnant. Caifu met an accident and became lame, and left Qiong Er. Caifu came back and left again.
9. Jiang Guo finally realised that his idea of love was very different from Qiong Er and decided to let her go. They got divorced amiably.
10. Ending of the show: I don't know. It just showed Qiong Er and Jiang Guo becoming friends and awaiting for the arrival of their child. As for that gal, Jiang Guo professed his love for her. Caifu? Ending showed him carrying a child version of Qiong Er. Jiang Guo greeting the child version of the gal. That gal talking to the child version of Jiang Guo. Qiong Er greeting the child version of Caifu. The end. Lame ending.
Overall, I like Hyun Bin's acting and image in the show. No wonder he is so popular in Korea after this show. Wholesome image, respects marriage, protects the weak, sensitive and cute. In the show, he was deemed as handsome or beautiful. Fantastic image. He won the best newcomer in 2004 with this show. I am not surprised. Good acting and handsome. What do you expect?
If you think in Samsoon, he was charming, try watching Ireland. Ireland was his earlier drama. After watching it, I realised many charming actions, facial expressions, and smiles were the repeats of his character in Ireland.

I saw this picture of Hyun Bin in Hyun Bin's Baidu Fan Forum.
I grabbed it. I don't know who the owner is. I presume it is KBS as it is well-taken and from the Snow Queen show. Whoever dares to say Hyun Bin oppa looks ugly in the show, I will bash the person up.
He looks so so so good. It is just a different look from My Lovely Samsoon. He is still as handsome. Not those clean-shaven, suave look, just cool and rogue look.

I found this interesting online translator. I can copy the text in Korean and get the translator to change it to English. It is a word for word translation. Hence, you must know the sentence structure of Korean language to get the meaning of it. To learn the structure, you can go to the website mentioned in my previous post.

I found this site: Learn Korean. In this site, I can learn han-guk characters. Some words and sentence structures. As there is no pronunciation, I just have to figure them out.
However, I can confirm some sounds of certain words.
chogi issoyo means "it exist over there", or "its over there"
Issoyo on its own can mean "I have/he has"
Opsoyo means "I dont have" or "I havent got"
When addressing a shop keeper or waiters, Koreans use ajossi literally meaning uncle, but is used as a general word when addressing someone in a shop.However if it were to be used in a formal way, it is only for the referral of a man.
For females the word ajumma meaning aunt is used, for people over 35-ish, and for younger woman agassi is used for young women.

What has this holiday done to me? I have been waking up at 3 a.m. for no apparent reason. With all the time in hand, I spend the time surfing the net, watching Snow Queen, Kim Jeong Hoon's MVs...
I was watching all the videos found at Kim Jeong Hoon's official fanclub "Only Hoon". I am quite impressed with Hoon's ability to sing. Most importantly, apart from his prince-like looks, he has a warm personality. He is quite humourous too. Even if you don't know Korean language, you can still look at his videos and photo at the website.

I can't tell you how touching The Snow Queen is. You have to watch it yourself. The plot is really good. It is not the usual Korean soap drama whereby they make the love so forbidden. In The Snow Queen, I see a likelihood of them gaining acceptance and forgiveness. However, I guess the girl will die in the end because of her illness because of the beginning of episode 1. I will still watch because it is just too good to miss. I simply love Hyun Bin's acting in this show!

Teddy: I must say that I agree that Kim Jung Hoon is very prince like. He is smart, sings well and so adorable.
I have his UN days MV because of the Feeling album. Wow! He was round then but really cute. You can tell that he is naturally a cheerful and fun boy. :) This really show that he really acted well in Goong.

Kim Jung Hoon's Pictures
I must be fair, right? If I put Hyun Bin's, I must put Kim Jung Hoon's too.
By the way, Kim Jung Hoon's name is spelt as Kim Jeong Hoon on his Feelings album. Boy, he sure can sing. Going to buy his Japanese album soon.
Hyun Bin versus Kim Jung Hoon:
Hyun Bin has a more chiselled face. I love his face. I love his chin. I love his dimples. However, I don't like it when he smiles too widely.
Kim Jung Hoon on the other hand has a shorter face which makes him look younger and cuter.
Both of them have deep eyes that tell deep stories. This makes their acting more convincing. I like both of them because of their face and acting. Actually, what captivated me to Kim was his acting first. He was really good in Goong. As for Hyun, it was his face first. However, his acting in Snow Queen was really superb, A star acting.

The new-generation actor Hyun Bin will likely become the representative top-class hallyu star overseas. In December of last year, Hyun appeared as a cover model for the Hong Kong edition of the world-renowned men's magazine "Esquire," a first for a South Korean actor. This time, Hyun has recently become a top hallyu star in Japan, overtaking other South Korean celebrities. Hyun ranked first in the "Third Poll on Hallyu Stars" conducted on readers for the February issue of the "South Korean TV Drama Magazine" published by Kyodo News.
In the poll, Hyun was followed by Kwon Sang-woo, Bae Yong-joon and Lee Byung-heon, in that order. Other hallyu stars selected included Ryu Si-won, Song Seung-heon, Kim Rae-won, Park Yong-ha, So Ji-sup and Park Sin-yang.
Hyun's ranking in the poll has stunned all people concerned, as South Korean TV dramas he has acted in have never been aired by terrestrial networks in Hong Kong or Japan.
South Korean TV dramas are normally broadcast by cable TV networks in Japan ahead of terrestrial networks. Through KNTV, a fee-based channel in Japan, the drama "Ireland" aired from January through March of last year, and another drama "My Name Is Kim Sam-soon" from August through October of last year, winning great popularity there. After those dramas were broadcast, Hyun has attracted a growing number of Japanese female fans because of his handsome and gentle appearance.
Last year, "My Name Is Kim Sam-soon" was sold to Japan at the highest price for a South Korean TV drama. The film "Love Bottle," the first film Hyun ever acted in, was sold to Japan for 1.5 million dollars, foretelling his rise to the top spot as a hallyu star. The February issue of "South Korean TV Drama Magazine" features a story on "My Name Is Kim Sam-soon" in celebration of Hyun becoming the top hallyu star.
Sachiko Maruyama, the editor of this magazine which became famous for giving the title of "Yonsama" to Bae Yong-joon, said, "It is very exceptional that Hyun Bin has become the top hallyu star, although he has never appeared as a cover model for our magazine. Hyun will form a core of hallyu stars alongside Bae Yong-joon and Kwon Sang-woo in the future."
Hyun had a busy schedule last month to promote his film "Love Bottle." He is now taking a rest, while thinking of what film he should act in next.

Actor Kim Jung-hoon, a former member of the male music group "UN," is expected to captivate the hearts of Japanese fans.
Kim, a former singer, has branched his career into acting, appearing in the popular MBC Wednesday-Thursday miniseries entitled "Palace" (written by In Eun-ah and directed by Hwang In-roe). On the back of his newfound popularity as an actor, he has planned to expand his scope of activities both as a singer and actor in Japan.
An official from Kim's agency said on Mar. 10, "Kim Jung-hoon will engage in lively activities in Japan. He will concurrently act as a singer and actor. Currently, he will act in a TV drama, as well as record an album, in Japan after 'Palace' comes to an end."
Export contracts for "Palace" have been signed with China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Negotiations are underway with Japan. Snow Queen or Queen of Snow
I love Hyun Bin more and more as I watch the show! His acting is really superb. I find his acting in this show is 1000 times better than in My Lovely Samsoon or My Name is Kim Sam Soon.
Though he spots the similar style as Rain-Bi in another show, I think he carries it very well. His features are as nice. My goodness, I am totally charmed by him.
I think Snow Queen or Queen of Snow is a must watch.
